Grammar and spelling are two essential components of the English Language.

If I were the editor and I had to select some Applicants regarding Content Writing, I would first see their potential in Grammar rather than their general skill in writing.

If you are being attacked for misuse of grammar, understand it very well, rather than judging why you are being attacked. There is a lot to learn from people themselves. Even during Social Media Posts, when someone tries to correct you regarding the mistakes you made in Grammar or typing, try to learn rather than judging and attacking that person again.

Even if you are working under a Senior, who is much experienced and is a Master of English Language, try to follow him/her. You will be surprised to find yourself a lot improved at the end of the day.

Suppose you are applying for an Interview or a job, and you have sent your Resume first to get selected. If your Resume has several grammatical errors and typing mistakes, consider that thereupon you will be rejected because of these issues, even if the Company doesn’t require any English skills.

So I have listed some of the common grammatical errors that if you commit during an important place can potentially make you look dumb. Let’s see in this article the things that you need to ponder upon for correcting your skills. I have shown the difference between words like “there,” and “they’re” and the word “they’re,” and the misuse of “its” and “it’s,” “then” and “then.” Now it’s time to know these differences and their correct usage.

So in this article, I have mentioned the different grammatical errors that without knowing often we make mistakes. Read this article carefully and take a guide that how you can improve and correct your grammar.

1. Don’t use of when you mean Have

Many people in case of some sentences use “I could have cracked that examination,” or “she should have cracked that exam”.

In the case of this word “of” you should have used it as ” I could have cracked that examination.” If you know good Grammar, of course, chances are there that you will be able to crack your exams. Both have two different meanings. Learn to apply the words according to their correct use only.

2. Don’t use loosely when you mean loose. Both are of different meanings.

Loose means something which is not tightly knit together. Something which can easily tear up. Loose means lack of rigidity. Whereas losing means you misplace something. You lost something which you are finding now or lose also refers to that part of the struggle when you didn’t win, but you lost.

Therefore these two terms are different.

If you use this word in a sentence like this – He is losing his funds easily – then your impression will go down, and then there will be chances that you will lose your money in the future by the wrong usage. So it’s now time that you correct some basic mistakes in Grammar for more prospects in life.

3. Do you know that it’s Definitely and not Definitely?

Often you write sentences like ” I will definitely do this work.” Don’t you think that now it needs correction? AI is of so much use these days. Even you have the Automatic spell correction options in your devices which certainly shows that not all spellings are correct as you think them to be. There is no word called Definitely. It’s a severe grammatical misuse when we spell some words based on our instincts.

The English Language has set its standards of writing and spelling which we can’t change or improvise. Still, now at least nobody has accepted this spelling Definitely to be implemented in Grammar.

From today always spell it as Definitely.

4 . Another Grammatical Mistake is when you use ” And I instead of and me”

Many people think that some words are fixed in any case. Like it will be always and I after a sentence. But this misconception should be removed. Through an example, I will be trying to make you all understand the difference between me and I. “Manjima came to the event with Debarshi and me,” is not right. “Manjima came to the event with Debarshi and me” is right.

But “Debarshi and me” did not go to the event with Manjima. “Debarshi and I went to the event with Manjima.”

Can you understand a bit now? Let’s explain more. Try removing the two words before the personal pronoun and then see if your sentence becomes clear to you. Now if you remove “Ryan,” you will have “Loren” come to the meeting with me.” In writing only, you will be able to understand that yes, the sentence isn’t right. So, in this case, use “me.

Now in the next step, remove “Ryan,” and” from the “me” sentence and then see the sentence “I went to the event with Loren“.

So now you know that you should change from me to I.

Now is it easy for you?

5. Using Badly instead of using Bad is a Grammatical Errors

An adverb is ” Badly” and it means something that is being done, bad is an adjective that is used to describe the noun only. If you say ” Badly” means you are not feeling good at anything.

Wait I am trying to make you understand. You will feel bad if you see a poor child struggling, but you will feel bad if your headache starts massively.

Now did you understand the difference?

6. A lot and Lot as Common Grammatical Errors
